Roland TR-606 Drumatix Maintenance

Picked up a 606 pretty cheap and aside from some serious dirt/grime, it appears to be in very good shape (bottom is marked up, but the front/back and top are excellent).

I want to do some cleaning, but before I do I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on the strongest solution I can use on it? When I say it's grimey, it's really grimey. Water won't do. I don't want to mess up the case, so looking for some recommendations.

Remove case, but it in the sink with soapy water and use a soft toothbrush and a micro fibre cloth!

no solvents, no abrasives.
you can get away with white spirit for serious sticky, oily, but wash off immediately afterwards (to be challenged immediately by someone else, no doubt)

anything stronger will just take all the paint off.
