The MutaTribe Mark1: spliced DNA of Monotribe and Korg EA-1 genes!

The Monotribe evolves...devolves maybe.

FrankenZynth:
2 Parts Monotribe, low and high paraphonic note for the VCOS and vibrato
1 Part Korg EA-1 for its 2 part motion sequenced filter for Monotribes.
Backed up by TT-78 4 on the floor,
Waldorf Blofelf patch H034 ``1515``
also MS-20kit chained to Mopho duophonically

3:00 MS-20Kit paired duophonically with DSI Mopho

Slightly modified from above the Mutatribe is.
Still 2 Monotribes, one low, one high note priority,
with both outputs feeding Audio IN on Electribe EA-1.
This time I use both outputs for stereo filter and delay effects.

Joining in with its S&H PWM and arp is the Vermona '14.
The Vermona 14 is last note priority.

The Mark 1 is dead. Here is the Mark2.
Both Monotribes receive note CV low note high note from CV OCD.
Both are gated ON, however I have set the low pass cutoff low.
Both receive there filter from there filter Cutoff MOD which is getting
CV from the ADSR of a Microbrute.

Here is their story!

Testing out another revision of the MutaTRIBE.
This time each Monotribe has its own ADSR for filter supplied by its own Microbrute ADSR.
Still low note, high note.

Starts up Blofeld for bass.
At 53 sx I bring in the Vermona 14 for last note fun.

I find the Monotribes have a haunting character, especially with the added noise.

Testing 4VCO configured Monotribes with ADSR for low and ADSR for high note.
2 Monotribes lows note, 2 high
Arpegiated via Vermona '14

VCO1 low note 32' Sawtooth
VCO2 low note 8' triangle
VCO3 high note 32' Sawtooth
VCO4 high note 8' triangle

all VCOs set to 10 volume on the 4 Monotribes.

ADSRS supplied by Microbrute pair to filter cutoff MODs on all 4 Monotribes.

This sound was wonderful. Very much get the 'haunted character' aspect.

Fun listening to the experiments!

After years of experiments I finally have hunkered down
and got a working prototype with "non-click" Monotribes.
I scaled down my expectations due to size constraints
and settled on a 2 VCO, 2 VCF Monotribe setup as follows:

2 Monotribes are controlled via CV and Gate from
a CV OCD which receives MIDI from a Kenton USB to Midi
from the MS-20xx controller.

Both Monotribes are gated ON, and articulation is
derived from the AR envelope of the MS-20xx which
controls the CV that controls the Cutoff of both Monotribes.

Both Monotribes has simple mods that allow external CV
to control filter cutoff, which in this case is from thr MS-20xx.

Only the Monotribes are demoed here, with some light
reverb from HOF and some stereoesqueness from a Strymon Deco.

I go through the various footages, and set differrent amounts
of noise, res, and cutoff on both.

I also adjust the AR on the MS-20xx.

You can tell the filters are related to the MS-20xx family
but I would not say they are exact.

Added Sample & Hold (from the MS-20xx) into the CV signal to the Monotribes.
Both the MS-20xx and the 2 Monotribes get S&H.

The MS-20xx is panned middle, the 2 Monotribes panned hard left and right.

Ingredients
MS-20xx controller
2 Monotribes

The 2 Monotribes play the low note
and the MS-20Kit plays the high note.
All receive MS-20xx S&H to filter.

Live off the floor.

and the Stereo Oscillator Pair Monotribes (low note)

Experimenting with the 2 parts of the synth in staccato play
low note Monotribes
high note MS-20kit

Both low and high have their own envelopes.
Monotribes use EG1 Inv triggered by CV OCD
MS-20Kit uses LP on Env2 as well as EG1 non-inv to HPF

When only 1 note is played at the end, it is both high and low note,
so it is 4 VCOs in unison.
But all 4 VCOs can be set to different waveforms and footages
