Should I trade my mother 32? Keyboard Synthesizers

Should I trade my mother 32?

I currently have a Moog mother 32 and I really like the sound but, the single oscillator is really starting to bother me. Plus I have a few korg volcas (kick, sample, and keys) and a microkorg that I can’t seem to sync properly with the moog mother 32
My friend offered to trade me a Korg monologue and some other things for my mother 32
I feel like the monologue is more compatible with the volcas, more self contained and also has 2 oscillators. Should I do the trade or hang on to the mother 32?
I just can’t afford to buy another M32 or modular synth for the 2nd oscillator right now. I’ve had the M32 for a year now and I’m not that excited about the whole modular bit. I did think about buying the
DFAM for the M32 to have a buddy but I’m not sure. I just want to be able to have a simple setup that will play nice together
Any ideas?

Horses for courses; I got both and I would say that it seems that you would get a better workflow with the Monologue because you don't have the means to get more modular stuff.

If your friends 'other things' is worthwhile and brings the value up to the same as M32 I would say trade and play. You can always buy modular or semi-modular stuff in the future when you know what you want with it.

Cheers!

Get your friend to let you play with the Monologue for a bit to see if ou like it before commiting to a permanent swap.

Well, there’s always the Boog, if you want 3(!) OSCs. Neutron has 2. Both semi-modular, both good, both cheap.

That’s my suggestion.

Otherwise, if you don’t care about semi-modular, there are ... so many options, it’s ridiculous.

edit: Oh, you don’t like semi-mod. Hm. Do you require VCOs in particular?
