EFX routing live and DAW

Hi Slutz

So i have a few efx pedals. I want to hear them live, ie via my mixer when im just having a jam without my DAW.

But then i also want the possibility of having the EFX available in my DAW to record onto audio, without having to rewire each time.

Is there a way of routing this so both these options are available with only 1 output from EFX ( obviously without having to rewire each time)

Or is this a case of needing a patchbay maybe?

Cheers for any help

depends a bit on gear:
you could use one input of you mixer for live input, one from your daw and send to your efx devices via aux(es). efx return(s) back to the mixer and on to your interface via direct out(s) or go to both mixer and interface via split cable(s).
switching then is just a matter of muting one input, no patching needed...

What mixer, what interface, and especially, can your pedals be 100% wet or do they have a "kill dry" mode? Because a lit if guitar pedals always have the dry signal present on the outputs. So normally you wouldn't use them on sends but on inserts
