Can the JV-880 load SR-JV expansion programs?

Hey, this topic was brought about by one of the current ROMpler threads. Sweetwater's technical help site gives instructions on how to load programs from the SR-JV expansions into the JV-880. I can get the individual tones, but for the programs when following the instructions I receive the following error message: "Parameter not exist"

Some of the other members in the mentioned ROMpler thread stated they had been able to load the programs, however Roland Clan forum searching brought up results stating the 880 cannot load SR-JV programs, only tones.

Does anyone else have any insight on SR-JV expansions working with JV-880's?

Thanks!

I had the JV880 many years ago.
I put in a Vintage synths expansion board and thought you had direct access to the patches on the board, but that wasn't so.
If you wanted to play a patch from the expansion board, you first had to load it into RAM before you could play it.
Maybe the tones were accessible but the patches weren't.

At least im 99.9% sure that was the case. If it wasn't then i'm sure someone will correct me
