Focal Alpha 80 Problem

Hello everyone,

So a year ago I bought the Focal Alpha 80 monitors for creating music in my daw.
At first I was a bit scared because the sound was all over the place, I'm creative in my living room/bedroom with just minimum sound damping done(I know that's a problem)
But over the year the sound really got much better, today I love them for the price and would definitely recommend them over anything else I heard in the price range.
I like the standby thing, but the sensitivity should be better, you should be able to play lower db before they shut off.

Anyway, the other day one of my monitors just stopped producing any sound at all. The amp turns on and stays on as long as something is producing noise on my pc. I changed cables and everything with the working monitor but the problem was the same.
Then yesterday evening when I came home from work the sound came on, after a while and stayed on for the rest of the evening. This morning when I woke up it wasn't working again.
When I switch it on the amp turns on but not one reaction from the speaker.

Any ideas?
Everything looks and smells fine inside.

I have the 65s and wonder how that auto-switch might impact longevity.

Good news is that you'll still be within the warranty. Should be 2 years at least.

Sounds like you definitely have a fault. Contact the retailer and you should get a free repair.
