MS20 patching tips n tricks..?

Anyone have any references, videos, tutorials, web pages etc that show some MS20 patching tips or tricks..?

Found a few but just thought I'd ask in case some here have some tips or tricks they know of.

My oasys 10" touch screen has lots of ms20 VA patches so ironically i copy them over by eye to the ms20m ... Mostly drum patches right now.

drum patches but many of the ideas here are relevant to synthesis in general on the MS20 and very much fall into the lesser known tips and tricks category.

You've been into modular for like 5 years and asking for advice?

I'd just patch the hell out of it. There will be a lot of sh!t patches that's for sure, the more so making something worth recording will be oh so rewarding.

Anyway, MS-20 likes external patching. Have you tried any?

If there's one thing in life I learned and that's you can never know everything and never stop learning. There's always someone smarter than yourself and to ask for knowledge is humbling. TBH eurorack is easy as piss to patch it's like play skool lego, all very self evident where to patch 99% of the time, with semi modular stuff you are looking for new interesting unique ways to patch or cross patch with other synths etc and that requires slightly more thinking ahead imo.

Look for Mark Pigott (aka Zaphod Betamax here, not present anymore) on youtube then, he did a lot of cross patching between MS-20 and other semi-modular stuff.

You plug into the VCA or cuttoff frequency inputs... you'll have to get "velocity" from somewhere else however.

take a look at the specs, most of it comes out, as long as you do not want to control pitch with velocity.

Specifications | MS-20 mini - MONOPHONIC SYNTHESIZER | KORG (USA)

possible that there are even better interfaces for the ms20, doepfer still has a cheaper kenton has one. I suppose that you have the mini with usb / midi ie. no problem with the voltage herz stuff have

here a thread
