Sounds great - definitely going to keep an eye out on this one.
I THOUGHT I heard some tweety-birds. In this track they stand out clearly between 9-10 minutes, in that region. So, those were artifacts of the chorus-in-progress?

I wish I wasn't looking forward to hearing it when it's completed, and the chimney swallows have migrated elsewhere. I really don't need to want to buy one of these...

Agreed (though, I paid far less than $2,999 for my OB-6 keyboard). But, damn, that Xerxes sounds good! Definitely has the business going on that the OB-6 doesn't. That's another damned synth I have to add to my last-synth-I'm-ever-buying list (just when I thought the Quantum was going to be it).

Yah, I have a business account and a personal account; though, I haven't logged on or posted to either in about four years. It's frustrating when a company's only public-facing presence is there, exclusively. Not a fan of FB at all.

This has now been fixed.

The aliasing artifacts were due to very early chorus prototype boards I used for the NAMM demo, and Paul made the audio demo at that time with that unit. Getting the synth itself fully operational was a priority (and it was).

You nailed the Jean-Michel Jarre sound with Xerxes.

Is it a 4U rack?

Thanks, Jarre used a lot of Synthex factory presets on Rendez Vous (#46 laser harp, strings, pads, #42 whoosh, etc.), and they are also instantly recognized on Xerxes, sound exactly the same.

Yes, it's a 4U rack, or remove the ears and use it on desktop.

DIY will have a deeper case so that will be rack only.

Last available info is preorders start at Superbooth (1-2 weeks), shipping hasn't been announced (probably sometime second half of this year).

It would be perfect if you sell it through Thomann, like MFB...

You'll pay a smaller percentage up-front for the reservation, and the remainder when the product ships. Similarly to Deckard's Dream and Kijimi -- visit deckardsdream.com for details on those.

I have just three words...

Gimme, gimme, gimme!

Ok, one word three times. But still.

So glad it’s not a fixed rack like the other two as racks are not my thang.

Sounds glorious.

Is the Seiko doing the initial “choir” background patch and then layered with the sawtooth-type pad from the Xerxes (who thinks of these names!? ) as the track progresses?

As mentioned elsewhere, the laser harp sound is very well made indeed. Those envelopes have a really specially attack, IMO.

I thought the $3k was confirmed. I guess nothing is official until they take money though.

Yeah... I'll consider it confirmed when I see the price listed on the website with a buy button...

Yes, the Seiko is doing the "choir" sound (I don't know what JMJ used but it's reasonably close), then later the Xerxes provides the thick pads. Nothing else was used other than the Fairlight Sararr sample that comes and goes. (EDIT: I was confused with RV1 which I'm working on right now, which features the Sararr sample. It's not really used in this RV3 cover).
