Police scanner howling at synths.

When I turn my music gear on(couple of analog synths, couple of digitals, multitrack no mics) the police scanner in the next room makes some horrible howling.
It stops after a while and the restarts periodically.

Anyone know if there is a way to remedy this?

Turn down synths, turn up squelch on scanner, or Faraday Cage the synth room.

Try running your scanner through a smoother filter, rather than the ms20.

A few years ago, all of a sudden my powered monitors started picking up some kind of local radio-signal, with this horrible commercial gibberish.
I could hear it quietly as soon as i turned on the speakers, even when the rest of my equipment wasn't powered on.
Somehow the jack-cables i was using were acting as an antenna.
I've never rushed to a shop so quickly to buy some balanced cables, it was driving me mad

using any long jack-leads in that setup? Maybe replace them with a short one, a DI and a balanced XLR
