Fired it up for a quick test. It sounds amazing. I really don't understand all the hate this synth often gets.
I guess if you were seeking realistic analogue synth sounds, this could disappoint, but it really is its own thing.
I really do miss mine. Bought it new in a midtown Manhattan Sam Ash or Manny’s when they were new right after 9/11. Stupidly sold it years later for chump change. I’m a fool. I know it’s supposed to be same engine as MicroKorg, but something about all the extra controls really lends itself to making cool patches.

I bought mine on 48th Street too, in May/June 2000 at Sam Ash. I still have mine, though it’s in a box for now since my studio has been reduced.
is it patch b10? dream chance, dream arrgggh, dream something?? aaah my raver memory fails me
anyway, warm pad on one timbre, twinkly arp on the other - transfers to my mkxl perfectly as do many/most if not all ms2k patches, 80s bass preset was great on ms2k too - that noise :-) , house bass - another gorgeous preset
