If this sells well it seems likely they will put out a keyboard version, I would guess. Novation isn't averse to keyboards.

Looks really great, 1300 is not a bad price since it has way more controls than a dm12.

I had hope in novation and they delivered. I would also like a 5 octave know version but let's wait.

The big question for me is multi timbral or not?

Can I do 4 different tones at once?

Can't really tell much about it yet, but seems like an excellent option. Price-wise, not ideal, but seem to me that it has several nice features and a nice sounding filter. Will it be my third Novation product in a roll??

I'm hoping that there will be some kind of slop function because if the Oscillators (when not run as wavetables) sound anything similar to the BS2 it might come across as too clinical. I'm certainly up for getting one of these so I'm looking forward to trying one out in a store once they become available. The Bass patch demonstrated here does sound the part from my perspective. https://www.amazona.de/superbooth-17...vation-peak/4/

FINALLY. So glad to see this out there. But I guess the NDA lifts tomorrow so i can only say: this is what I expected and I'm not disappointed. Novation in the big leagues again is a beautiful thing to behold. As a Brit this brings a tear to the eyes.

Hmm and they took my advice with the two sets of env controls... Good lads.

Edit: For those wondering, Novation had a questionnaire to fill out a few years ago.

Would you go so far as to grant it the moniker... "Poly OSCar" (Polyhonic OSCar)?

This looks fantastic. Novation has a pretty impressive track record over the years and I can't wait to see/hear more about this, but so far so good. Nice one lads!

They didn't even put your name on it. I'd sue.

I applaud Novation for making a hands-on-hardware synth(in looks, a bit like a JP8080 which I have and really like)
But... Monotrimbal? Monotrimbral digital synth? Is the info correct €1300? (probably high quality NCOs and other stuff) If yes... this makes eurorack module's prices look just fine maybe

Some cool extras there with the animate buttons and the arpeggiator chorus mode.

At 1300 euro, it is essentially competing with the Modor NF-1. The Peak's footprint is a little better, but the NF-1 has that beautiful formant filter.

€1350 according to the amazona.de article. Nice!
I like the knob-per-function interface a lot. More knob-per-function'y as the BS2.
3 oscillators incl. digital waveforms, 3 envelopes, distortion/chorus/delay/reverb fx, 2 lfos (audio rates!!), multimode-filter, arpeggiator... looks good to me already without knowing what's extra in the menus.

And do those ANIMATE buttons let me x-fade between two settings of a patch ?

And the oscillators seem to be all digital, right?

Nope, only similarity is digital oscillators. Has the basestation 2 filter. Doesn't sound anything like an oscar.

And still the excellent user interface design. I can't see any stumbling blocks to programming. 16 slot mod matrix too.
