Real analog competitor to the TR09. No info about price, probably close to the Miami.

Nice! It'll be great for those that want the analog 909 sounds without having to build (or have someone build for them) a kit.

Nice. I like the dual crash or dual ride option.

I love their gear, it's made to WW3 industrial specs and sounds fkin great, I just wish they'd make a 909/808 in one box instead of the two as separate units..

Been waiting for this since he announced the Miami. I actually emailed and asked at one point. Hope the sequencer stays the same but with the play/write switching as usual with acidlab. Definite purchase for me.

Awesome, having owned the Drumatix and Miami I'm looking forward to hearing this! also interested in how the sample section for hihats and cymbals are handled.

damn, i was also gonna go Nava 909 route.

it will all depend on how good this sounds. Miami sounds powerful, but as far as accuracy, it was somewhat hit n miss to me. some sounds were on the mark, some okayish, and some wrong. played one at Schneider's. then played a friend's Yocto just few days ago. its better in some respects and worse in some others than Miami. and on this peticular build, crosstalk whine from psu or digital lines into all outputs. diy is a lottery sometimes..

anyways, these are exciting times. personally im not that interested in 808 sound, even tho there's barrage of options nowadays, but 909 is a different story..

Yes! Finally!

Acidlab has good rep. Although I would have preferred those old computer keyboard keys for the sequencer, like the original, Nava and Circlon.

Now it mostly depends on whether they get the kick right. Not like TR09 or other digital emulations which sound muffled and wimpy. Not like TipTop which is good but not quite tight enough. The 909 kick should hit your gut like the feeling when suddenly realise you forgot the keys in the house.

This will most likely not sound 100% identical to a 909, which is what I like about Acidlab. I expect it to sound punchier and more aggressive.
