Not sure about Thursday Afternoon, but I know that when it comes to effects, Brian Eno is a BIG Eventide user.

Though that album was released in 1985, which was 3 years before the 1st H3000 was released. After acquiring the H3000, Eno used it extensively throughout his works.

He also used the DX7 and VCS3 a lot. VCS3 for processing.

And probably a Yamaha cs-80.
It was probably a bit early for DX-7s, they'd only been out for a year or less by then.

A few (4) tape loops, Eno writes in his diary. He wanted people to also have 4 loops at home, so the music would always be different. But he had to make one mix for the album. Well, he made it 60 minutes or something.
