Arturia MatrixBrute

Flew without much notice back in December at Matrixsynth. This week, little birdie confirmed this to be true:

"Arturia has a new mono synth The MatrixBrute. it looked like it had 3, maybe 4 oscillators (3 and a sub?) I believe each osc has all 4 waveforms. the middle section is a grid of what looked like 16x16 buttons as modulation routing..."

So maybe don't order too many Minilogues just yet.

Edit: It's out. Best info I could find:

sounds pretty interesting. maybe those oscillators can switch to a paraphonic mode as well. i like the tone of the brute but i only use it to add oscillators to other stuff or to control some cv via the small patch pannel.

Here we go again!
I'd be more interested if new design was different from the brute series, and if it doesn't sound like the brutes

Still excited tho! More ANALOG!

Sounds cool, but a mono synth with complex modulation routing doesn't sound like it overlaps much with the Minilogue...

No, they just overlap on your wallet.

Ha! Good point. A true gearslut will always find a way though, even if it means selling a kidney.

I'd much prefer a poly from arturia. I actually quite like the oscillator of the brute, and would think it could make a nice poly with an added cheezy chorus or ensemble fx. The filter is okay. I dunno, tough to top Korg's latest which costs what the Minibrute cost when it was released. YIkes!!

Yet another mono! Why they don't add 3 voices and 7 extra keys in the Microbrute, would be a powerful Minilogue's competitor.

The best part is that I trust usson not to let minikeys in this maxi. Love my mini but this has picked my interest... That's the thing missing in the mini, the modulation possibilities...

I love the looks of the ems looking synth, but if they are not paying a licensing fee for that layout and look I don't care what it sounds like or what it costs. I'll never buy a anything from Arturia again. Why don't they just call it a Synthibrute? We will know in a few days if this is even real.
