Looks like Novation has some stuff up their sleeve in October. October is shaping up to be an exciting month for music gear.

I really love my Remote SL, Launchpad, Launchcontrol XL and BS2.

But I'm afraid instead of Poly BS2 or Remote SL3 we would get bunch of eurorack stuff :(

It doesn't really point to much.

I do hope they do something with the Supernova heritage that isn't a plasticky handicapped toy.

But I fear it'll be another plasticky Ableton controller.

That can't be the EDP wasp on the left of the picture can it ? The ancestor of the bass station ii, next to something I can't identify. The other synth looks to be the Mininova.

Two wasps on left and mininova on right...

They are the best for their price among plasticky Ableton controllers. I really love them.

The other doesn't look like the larger version of the wasp to me - the wasp deluxe - although who knows, what it is..

Don't recognise it.

based on info from the website it looks like possibly incorporate some sort of universal synth preset software competition for Akai Advance VIP and NI Komplete Kontrol keyboards.

Lots of shots of Eurorack stuff so I guess Novation modular synth (VA) as well.

Could it be a new DAW with dedicated controller?
The guy is sitting in the middle, his hands on something that necessarily must be small and a kind of centerpiece.
Also, it could be read as "start something" - "finish something", words that kind of remind me of "DAW" as well.

Interesting.

Looks like

Since https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Huggett was the guy behind both Wasp and Novation they might even have the only prototype of Superwasp Deluxe in the attic

At least the teaser campaign is only a few days long, not months and months....

Hopefully a polystation!

I hope they make a mini Launchpad with mini pads...like the size of the keys on the keypad on a phone. Pocket size.

Yup, the slogan sounds daw/production related.

Surely the picture shows something metallic grey/silver though ? Looks newer than that to me, although, it is very hard to actually see.

As PolarReich says, it could be the view of half a longer synth, controller or maybe even a module - look at the rests underneath the synth, although one seems to be blocked out .

I'm a very happy BS II and Ultranova owner. Anything from the Novation camp that turns out to be an actual synth, I am keen to learn more about.

Actually, if you scroll down it looks like they will be drip feeding information each day at least up to the 23rd sep.

"Be sure to check back for more over the coming weeks".

So it seems like there is plenty of time for wild speculation.

Poly analog!! Fingers crossed.

EDIT: more of the website seems to have loaded while I was typing.

"We're here for you. From October 1st this year,

we can help you Start Something."

I don't think its a new synth. Seems from what they are saying that it is some sort of songwriting tool although I'm effed if I know what. Maybe web based???

That's mostly because of photo post processing. Darks are shifted to blue a bit, that's why it looks greenish/silverish.

There is no magic on left. But what is the module on a table between body and organ/mininova?
Really retro/future plastic side-stands.

Yes, that's the one I meant. Maybe we were talking at cross-purposes.

It looks like (mini-) keys on the front of the synth, or maybe the controller ? Again, I have no idea what that could be.

There are tons of sliders. May be it's launchcontrol xl on funny stand?

Haven't those launch and impulse ones have all got pads, buttons or a blank space on that far right-hand side of their front, though ? Again, just speculating

It's one of the hardest things to do: to create something

from nothing.

Having inspiration is hard enough.

Like going through all your synths and samples trying to find the
perfect sound.

Saving it to the folder of countless unfinished sessions
never to make a tune out of it.

Then there's actually creating the thing, and it not turning out
as cool as you'd hoped.

Or finishing the track and realising it sounded so good in your head
because it was written by Pete Waterman in 1988.

the struggle is real.

We're here for you. From October 1st this year,

we can help you Start Something.

Find out how
If hardware probably a workstation a la korg electribe. Otherwise likely a DAW.

The start (find inspiration) in this era probably stands for a new forum based/social media arena for sharing ideas.

The finish probably refers to the implementation of the software.

So my guess is
1) Hardware with easy sharing access with a new website/social service
2) software with social media (perhaps new novation project sharing service). Also would allow for people to collaborate to get to finish song.

actually I think you are totally right.

3rd VST softsyth wrapper from the big ones. I guess it makes sense. That's where competition is at.

I did wonder how many hadn't scrolled down the screen from image one, there were lots of pictures of different modular gear, doepfer, moog, an ms20 etc and all showing patch points and all with dates on. Hmmm. Then those little videos.

Go on Novation, bring something to the table.

Modules of sorts....start...
A recording medium, interface or similar......
Software. .. Finish....
