@ unrelatednotes really heckin' nice, now we need lighting slutz or lamp slutz awards too. It's not too minimal nor too maximal, love the choices and the layout. Black curtains are a plus also.

Thanks! I love how lighting really can help set the mood or tone of a room. The blackout curtains were somewhat out of necessity in order to minimize the amount of sound escaping through the windows so as not to disturb the neighbors.

So... a bag of plastic slider caps (Amazon screw covers, actually) really change the look and feel of the DM12. Pairs nicely with the Nord Wave 2 and they play well together. At some point I need to take my homemade wooden rack off the wall and shave 1/8” off that one side [literally threw it together from old decking boards on the day the DM12 arrived] to make the rack a snug fit.. but for now it’ll do

FYI it’s around a 5U rack [deck boards give the depth that the DM12 needs, it’s 10cm deep] and the ‘top’ is actually a cutaway for fan ventilation and cables. If you made an enclosing rack, it’d need to be 6U for cables and to leave sufficient vents for the fan to circulate. I keep meaning to get round to a more finished version with mitred corners... I’m aware that the last photo is a rugslutz fail. Sorry

Here for the gear

Awesome!!! Good to know I am not the only one with skate decks on the walls of the studio. Skate art of my youth is almost as addicting as synths...

I've got some pasta sauce on my wall, been meaning to clean it off for a long time now, but you know, with coronavirus lockdowns and everything I've just sort of let it harden, looks quite cool, like a small picture of a chicken, I'll grab some pictures tomorrow when I've sobered up.

Are you sure it doesn't look like Jesus, Mary weeping or some other religious icon like St. Peter? If so, you could probably sell it on eBay and make a few extra quid.

Yeah, in the first few hours, when it was still malleable, I tried to sort of poke it around a bit to make it look a bit religious, but I'm no pasta sauce artist and the best I could do was a sort of chicken . . . but there's nothing to say it's not the same chicken that Jesus used to ride about on in the bible, you know when he was fighting the robots.

Ahh yes, that infamous passage from the Book of Lasers & Doughnuts often seen at sporting events.

I can't compete with your pasta sauce artistry, but I'd like to share a pic of a test setup when I had just received my pair of Ondes by La Voix du Luthier. Note that there is a rug in the pic as well.
I recorded some noodly music too, but it turns out that these resonator speakers require a bit more recording care than a field recorder placed on a sofa...

As soon as he Ondes have arrived at their final destination I'll post more pics (I can't wait to show off my five (!) rugs that are splattered all over my studio space!). Yes, they are small rugs.

Cheers,
Bert

Wife and I used to paint decks for skaters and as signs for local businesses. We took them down so we could put up shelves for the synths.

Fairly small setup for a small 8' x12' room

The Vermona-Dreadbox Woodshed Room:

Middle Left: Vermona 14
Lower Left: Waldorf Blofeld
below Blofeld (out of shot) Vermona perFOURmer

Upper Right: 2 Monotribes as sine wave generators
and an Arturia Microbrute

Middle Right: 2 Dreadbox Abyss (configured as 8 Voice)

Lower Right: MS-20Kit- and my REFM prototype on breadboard

In closet (holding up wall)
Studiologic Sledge
Farfisa Fast 3
another Waldorf Blofeld holds Farfisa tight againat wall

Digital vastly outnumbered by analogue (at present)

Good ol' Stanley shop power strips screwed to wall I've got a few of those myself and worth every penny. The spacing is great for wall warts and the plugs and chassis are much better quality than the cheap plastic power strips that infect so many studios.

Also, any particular reason the Sledge isn't in active use?

My latest rig. Prologue and Matrixbrute got sold to make room for the new Digitone Keys and Fantom 7. Cable management is next on my list, just haven't gotten to it yet.

My idea right now is to have a live jamming setup with the Digitone, TR-8S, and DB-01, and then a production setup with the MPC X and Fantom. We'll see how that goes.

The empty space on the right side of the table is reserved for my laptop, but a Zen Delay and/or a small Moogish thing might sneak into that spot at some point.

I have exactly the space in the photo, basically two two-tier stands
(although the Vermona '14, Blofeld stand has a 3/4" ply bottom stand I built onto
the metal On-Stage stand for the perFOURmer).

So space is majorly limited, as on the left side of the Blofeld/Vermona stand is a
Mackie 2404VLz mixer. It takes up a fair bit of room and above them are my
2 effects (A HOF and a Strymon Deco) along with 3 DBX compressors and 2 Behringer compressors)

If I was to put the Sledge up, I'd have to remove the Blofeld, and to me, I get
much more use out of the Blofeld.

I have to rotate my gear every 6 months, but right now I dig the present set-up, so everything else, including the Sledge-has to wait its turn.

The Farfisa Fast 3 has been in the closet for 2 years. It needs key contact TLC and a can of Round2It.
It is almost almost as old as I (me 63' the Farfisa 67').

I have 2 other synths totally in other rooms. The DSI Mopho SE and Mopho module are on a shelf in the bedroom,
and the SQ-80 is in it's flight case in the Laundy Room.)
