Did I ever post in this thread? Probably not.

Work in progress so I have wireless setup here. :D

Now, I always was thinking, that there will be time, when I setup whole my gear at one wall of my tiny apartment. Two biggest and second biggest Jaspers stands, one K&M Spider with four levels. Everything would be dense with hardware. But as the time went, I felt overwhelmed with gear. The ones that I started with, that ought to be all-in-one monsters, like Solaris, like Blofeld, and lastly - Prophet X... They all were too much for me. I never finished any track. To be hones: my first finished jam that I was happy with was done in one evening with my Elektron Analog Four only. I learned that I like simplicity. Modal 008 might look like complex machine, and it delivers, but it is simple in that I always know, where I am, what I am doing. Same goes for every gear here, except... Octatrack. It is one exception here. Now: look at those three smaller units at right hand below MS-20 - Modal 001, Octatrack, Tempest.

Idea behind it is that I will go thru OT with Modal 001 and Tempest and they will be my live performance setup. The rest will be recorded here and dumped to Octatrack. OT will be driving Modal 001 via MIDI, I should be able to play it also with my hands. Tempest will be synced to OT, but will be played from its sequencer. I like performance side of Tempest - I have plan to group sounds into four groups of eight sounds in one pattern (it gives 16x2 sounds for two banks, all having own pattern) thus having material for one song in one beat (For those that don't know: it is name for one pattern with 32 sounds, or lines, no powerful Elekton like p-locking, but it gives some poor mans p-lock via sequencing some modulation sources; this should let me perform up to 16 songs in one go, without reloading anything). I might get one synth with me for pads or something, but for now - 001, OT and Tempest are my live performance setup.

The rest will be synced with my 8 out, 8 in MIDI interface and all will be controlled from Ableton Live.

Now: Effects. Synths without effects are all Modals, MS-20 and Tempest. Since 001 and Tempest go thru Octatrack - I have effects covered here. My bigger Modal siblings need their own effects. This is why I left place on the right. I wanted to give delay and reverb to each, but then I found out that I am lacking in reverb department and that I clearly love delays (as in effects, not in real life, FWIW). Aesthetically I should put my Empress EchoSystem near Modulus 002 and Timeline or Zen Delay near 008, but... only if there is no significant sonic difference (I will not let aesthetics overrule sonic preference). MS-20 will be connected with TD-3 to Behringer MX400 (I have three of them and they are great problem solvers - get two and connect four stereo sources to one stereo destination :]) and thru El Capistan to Zoom mixer.

This setup occupies 16 channels in my Zoom mixer, leaving 4 channels for any Send-Return chains or my Prophet X that will be hidden for some time if I ever need it (if I don't - off it goes); or for my eurorack that is next in line to be slimmed down from around 3000 HP to maybe less than 1000.

Blasphemy!!!

Good night!

P.S. Forgot about this little fella. Digitone goes via Rytm. Or Shall I do it with OT and use compressor in Rytm. It will be easy to check both options.

Edit: P.P.S. With Mother****er II delay I might have one pedal that is not in kcearl's collection. :P

You don't have enough Modal gear, good start though. Keep at it.

Also KC is probably buying that pedal as we speak...so there's that.

This is my very humble setup. Sorry about the clutter in the background, not very sexy I'm afraid. The empty space on the right side of the table is where my laptop goes, when I'm using it. I try not to use it as much as possible though.

LOL! Why wait? Post when you get more stuff :-) Everybody started small. I had a CZ-101, EX-800, and Radio Shack MG-1 when I started. I used an Atari ST with Forth to write a sequencer. It just accumulated after that. Like a ....COMET! Ha!

Or make TWO setups!

I think we have a winner
Saw the Bugbrand, Modcan, Serge, then noticed the S1, 2600 and a Fenix!
BTW what's the black modular with bananas and blue knobs between the Serge and the 2600? And is that a Kijimi on the right of your main desk?

Wait... where is all of that gear? All I saw was a Matrix 12 with some stuff around it.

Thank you! But I'm hoping this is more of the end than the beginning! I don't want a repeat of my guitar gear addiction, the sale of most of which has funded my synth gear. I can't believe I managed to find a more expensive hobby.
