Yes I’m with you. I really don’t like to be raped in forests. Especially in those regions.

Have you seen that Documentary, Severance, about the poor workers on a team-building trip?

I collected analog synths and drum machines for at least 15 years, but most of them are on the shelves in my bedroom next door. The last 6 years I’ve been a bit sampler crazy. This is my current setup. In chronic need of cabling reorganisation.

There’s a MF103 12 stage phaser, a 108M Clusterflux, and a 104M Delay.

Here for the gear

My studio with the final piece. All gear is from this year. So hopefully no GAS 2020 for me.

Thanks man. I designed and built it myself. This is about my 3rd studio build for myself so I think I've got it right this time in terms of ergonomics. Everything I need is within reach and the whole desk and speakers move up and down from sitting to standing position.

There's just replica Barcelona chairs. I believe the real ones are around 8k each or so I've been told. They're genuine leather though and super comfy. The build quality is pretty high. They have the straps underneath like the actual chairs but they are set back on an extra bar instead of looping around the front for some reason like on the genuine ones that I've seen and the straps seem to be some sort of nylon, maybe ballistic nylon. Probably actually more durable than the leather straps that can crack and break but the genuine ones I've personally seen have leather straps that loop over the front. I always wanted a pair of Barcelona chairs but it's hard to justify the cost of the authentic ones. Luckily I was able to find a good quality replica.

I have another set of replica Barcelona chairs that I'm planning on putting in another studio room that I'm in the process of building here. Those ones are slightly oversized from the genuine ones but have the leather looping strap design like on the actual ones. For some reason they are slightly less comfy than the ones in the photo though lol. Might just be because they are newer and haven't been sat in much yet. I'm making my own muti-room studio here in Hollywood. At first I'm going to sublet the other two rooms out to other engineers and work from one of them (there will be 3 in total, this is just the first one) but my end goal is, once my reputation grows in LA and the business gets busier (I recently moved from Australia where I worked as a producer and engineer for 17 years) is that I'll hire some assistant engineers and assistant producers to work in the other two rooms.

SSL Fusion is in. Love it. Really adds allot of icing to the cake. Tomorrow I'm picking up a Hedd 192 to finalize the situation in the right rack bay

Thanks. Luckily the space on my desk is limited / at its limit. But I think any more gear wouldn't make much sense for me right now, so that I'd have to replace something instead. But that's not planned.

That silver bag of wires doesn't fool me, I see plenty of space above the Matriarch for new & necessary gearz in 2020.

There are patch points for the Matriarch on the back side ( ) + the Midi Hub is already ordered and will be placed there.

Probably some new gear will be bought.

This is my current setup in the storage room. Lots of shelves and freezer etc outside the frame. Currently ordering some angled shelves to put on this wall to offload the digital piano and maybe get some stuff off the floor.

You should cover that glass table top with thin rubber matting or, you can buy giant mouse mats on ebay for cheap that can cover the length of an entire desk, the early reflections from your monitors there with open glass must be horrific..?

I thought you were worried about scuffing/damaging the table. Should have known better.

fk the table... get that room sounding dead would be my worry, starting with that table. I don't have the best treatment but not enough thought goes into for a lot of people, standing waves and weird resonant frequencies can really fk with your work if you are not onto it.

That's very true, my bad! I should known that's necessary clearance space since I also have an M. Just not setup yet...

Anyway, stick to your instincts and guns... if it's time for a 2020 break to focus on learning your gearz and making music, than detune those oscillators and make it so!

I have plenty of sound treatment. I haven't installed it properly because I'm moving house in a couple of months. The glass table is temporary until I find a nice piece of hardwood. A lot of the gear is actually sitting on foam.

My modest setup. Computer really only there to record w/ Audacity (and because I don't have another desk), never really got into any DAWs yet. And yes I'm monitoring with a JBL pill speaker... considering some JBL 305p but haven't pulled the trigger yet
