thank you.
if more of those live acts realised how much more attention you could get leaving the laptop in the briefcase then it might be harder for me to get attention at these parties haha.

thank you. i actually have a fourth i want to load in there, i need to do some more work to the rig first. i need to build a remote audio switching system (it's a good thing i build synthesiser modules for living!) to select the routing of the keyboard audio in the main rack between mixer and loopers, and also need to build a pair of loopers MIDI control surfaces. yeah it's excessive. whatever. this is what i want to do and i finally get to do it and i love it.
the upper EDPs are a stereo pair, linked through Brother Sync. they are fed from Aux 5 on my M480, which goes from Aux 5 to both inputs of the H3500DFX, and then out of the H3500DFX to the EDPs.
the lower EDP is fed from Aux 6 and returns to a normal channel, which is sent to the M480's subgroup, which feeds the H3000SE.
before a few weeks ago i had a Repeater with a Vortex in the FX loop in the top position, and the beige EDPs were both fed from Aux 6 and returned in dual mono to the aforementioned channel. for my ambient looping i really like having 2 EDPs before the H3000SE because i can make less repetitious textures by using parallel loops with prime relationships, which is one of the Robert Fripp techniques i've been trying to nail for the past 15 years.
in contrast, i use the stereo EDPs for "accompaniment parts" or other things that are more rhythmically defined, like a chord sequence or something.
i pulled the Repeater out not because i didn't like it, but because i couldn't handle the difference in button press behaviour between the EDPs and the Repeater. i also totally prefer just having half/normal speed to the variable tempo/pitch manipulations of the Repeater. the only thing in my whole rig that does timestretching was the Repeater, and the two things i want to keep out of my sound are timestretching and compression. it "dates" my music to the 90s but i'm totally OK with that.

thank you Dave. the Minimoog case has a Blofeld in the bottom. i'll try to post a picture of it from the front. even though it's a beautiful case and is kind of elaborate, it's going to be rebuilt. it barely fits through a door.

thanks! i needed something to hold that shelf up, nothing better than a Reader's Digest abridged compendium!
