Shure M67 8 Channel micpre rack

I really like the sound of these. The darlington pair configuration
of the amp stages is like a mini- Neve.
So I racked up 2 x 4 channel units. Replaced all the audio path caps with PIO, new 5Fish power supply, reused one VU with an 8 pos switch, and transformer balanced the outputs with Jensen JT-123's. The rack is an old Altec Lansing automatic mixer
that happened to have 8 channels to work with on the front panel.

Cheapest, best 8 channels of micpres I can think of!

Check it out:::

How does it sound?
Can I ask which caps you used in the audio path?

This is actually still being tweaked:
I worked with Eddie Ciletti to design a
second amps stage and line driver using THAT chips
to properly implement the output transformers.

I have some wiring issue and need to get with Eddie to finish.

I used Russian Teflon for the first coupling and PIO Guedmann
for second. The topology is much like a very modern 80b micpre.
