DIY Passive splitter with fader

Hi everyone!

I'd like to make a simple passive splitter to be able to map a cinch stereo into 4 separated right channels and 4 separated left channels, each one of them having a direct mono output and a fader to control how much signal goes out of each channel.

I guess that you need more than just some faders, plugs and cable in order to keep signal power but I really don't know what I should add and I can't find anything on google... That's why I thought you might be able to help me with your knowledge.

Does anyone know the cheapest and simplest way to achieve that (considering I don't need a high end quality)?

Thanks in advance!
