What were your favourite productions from this past year?

For me, it would have to be SP (Noodnicks, Hallucinogen colab), Freedom Fighters - Era, Space Tube 25 by Captain Hook... I liked some tracks from Space Cat's Beyond The Senses and some Matsuri singles (remixes mostly) as well.

Don't know if anyone's shared this already (it may be common knowledge), but psytrance leads are often a sawtooth put through a high pass filter. It's a good sound, surprised other genres don't do it.

Also if you guys don't have Rob Papen's Go2... it's such a good synth plugin for Goa and Psy stuff... I'm using it extensively now. Like wow...

Used a lot of Go2 in this track and the one I posted above:



All the morphing sounds in this are Go2... also the supersaw type sound. The glitchy audio buffer-like sound is not... that originally started as a tabla loop actually.

a tons of synth in market)free too. personaly hate Rob preset browser, a tons of option to convert preset, to from)hate

Albino+blue are must have, 15-10 year ago, Rob thank you but we have free Vital!

surprisingly, just yesterday I tested QUAD and I found a lot of interesting sounds

how are you doing with Vital? I like it,

just as a sign of appreciation i am thinking to splash for a paid version. just wondering pro or plus? somebody got a pro version for 80 bucks instead of the plus of 25, for a good reason? if so, what reasaon was that?

Here's a remix of a track of mine.

Started getting into self-mastering, and I think I'm getting a hang of it - does anything sound wrong with it, mastering-wise? Any signs of too much clipping/limiting or whatever?

Cant comment on mastering, listening on crappy laptop monitor ATM but it sounds good here. Cracking track by the way. Doesn't fall into any psy cliches.
