Is this "TEL" input just a normal balanced input?

I'm trying to connect some audio equipment at a bar, and I'm not sure how best to connect everything.

I have two sources:

1: Balanced output from a mixer which usually just carries signal from a DJ mixer.

2: Unbalanced output from a phone, which provides background music during the day.

I have two amps, a Lab Gruppen which powers indoor speakers, and a TOA A2240 mixer amp which I just rescued from the storage room, and powers two 8ohm outdoor speakers in parallel.

At the moment I have phone jack -> TOA aux input -> LAB input (unbalanced).

I'll have to change everything around on Friday and Saturday nights though so I can have Mixer -> LAB (balanced) -> TOA (unbal).

I noticed that the TOA has a TEL input though, specs are -10 dBV, 10kohms, balanced screw terminals, transformer isolated.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this input can accept any balanced connection or if there is something special about this "telephone" connection?

I would like to connect: Phone/Mixer -> switch -> LAB -> TOA (bal) so that people can operate the system easily without having to plug and unplug cables (they always stuff it up).

Here is a link to the TOA:

Cheers.

According to the manual, the "TEL" input is a balanced, transformer-isolated, consumer line-level (-10dBV) input.
It is unlikely that there is anything otherwise special about it, so it seems ideally suitable for interconnection to the other system.

Thank you Richard, I appreciate it.

I'll build a new cable tonight and get it sorted tomorrow.
