AKAI S1100 Japanese import power advice

Hi all,
I am the proud new owner of an Akai s1100.
However it is a Japanese model so 100v.
I have found a transformer but my concern is that the power in is unpolarised and has no earth !
Is this going to be an issue ?

Cheers.

No, polarization and ground/earth is unlikely to be an issue.
You did not reveal what is the transformer you found?

Does it have a sufficient power rating for your Akai S1100?
That would be my primary concern.

Yes the transformer is a 230-110 50/60Hz
Made by Airlink.

The service manual I found says that the Japanese version takes 32 Watts
So you need a transformer that is good for at least 50W.
I would prefer to use one rated at 100W.
If you use a transformer that is too small then it will overheat and may catch fire and burn down your house. Seriously.

Richard, I won’t be surprised if this sampler does burn my house down with the luck I’m having !
