Stripping a snake loom cable to individual cables

Is it possible to undo a loom cable to it's individual cables to make full use of the cables in the loom?

I'm thinking about a Hosa CSS803 specifically here if anybody has any experiencing on reverse engineering these, or building their own and therefore knows if they are whole cables inside.

Most snake cables have individual cables encased in the loom. Not sure about HOSA but you could always call or Email their tech support people. All the snakes I have built have been done the way I described. Best of luck!

Thank you Tom. The cables were indeed individual inside the loom and it was easier than I expected to split the outer shield.

I haven't tested them yet, but if they work ok, then I have the added bonus of having easily identifiable cables.
