Great new script, thank you John

Do you know whether MCU type hardware controllers are able to respond to these view selections also, as my Zoom R16 responds only to children plus folders.....whereas in terms of being able to write automation, it would be great to be able to quickly select writing for folders (sub mixes ) only, for example ?

Hey studer58, I know it's been a while, but have you figured out a way how to use the R16 in Reaper with its faders only effecting the folder tracks?

I just stumbled over this myself yesterday. Not sure if I would want to re-assign Midi faders to specific tracks on every new project.

No, I hit a brick wall there, and then started working on projects with much smaller track-counts, where the folder issue wasn't so relevant. One thing I should've done, but didn't, was to investigate the Klinke folder mode ?

However, since then the Cockos Reaper official forum threw up some advice, which could prove helpful in that context.

I'll link them for you below....if you investigate your way through them and find a workable R16 solution, be sure to chime back in here with your findings !
