unable to assign pots and faders from MIDI keyboard into Reaper

I have Nektar LX61+ which I use with reaper, however, I'm unable to assign plugin parameters to the pots and faders. They simply don't get detected when I press the learn button and move them around. The keys, pads and wheels do get detected, but they're of no use in the plugin parameters. I also wanted to assign different faders to different channels from the actions list, but again, they wont detect the pots and faders. They seem to get detected easily while working with Ableton so they're definitely working and can be assigned for use, but somehow I'm unable to do the same in Reaper.

Please help!

Here for the gear

Bump... I've had the same trouble, I don't have a lot of hardware yet but the couple of times that I've tried to use the Learn function, I've had no luck.
