How to to charge for recording a gig.

Anyway I have a friend that need to record something for a old folks home.
There is a holiday coming up and I am going to have to record it and mix it and Give them a track they will be using. I will first have to record it there I will be using my Surface pro and a Scarlet. They said they just need it recorded Then I will have to edit it and stick some songs in it. This is for a adult day care center.
Question is they want one fee. I said I charge $30 an hour. This is also for a old folks home. Thanks

So little detail it's impossible to suggest any advice!

Record "it". What is "it"? what does "sticking some songs in" entail? What are you exactly doing? What is your skill level - ie is there masses of editing that'll take you hours if you're not up to speed?

OR - it's clearly not your "day job", so estimate how long it'll take you, add on a couple of hours if you want to cover yourself or don't if you're feeling charitable, and if it takes longer than that, you'll know for next time.

Either do it for free for your friend or charge hourly for the time it takes.
