Cakewalk pointing to an old version of waves

Right now it is seeing Version 9 and I've updated we're on version 10. Each time I try to use an affect a plug-in it says it can't find that version version 9. I've re-scanned and pointed the plug-in manager to the correct folders and restarted Cakewalk but still when I try to insert a plug-in it searches for the waves version 9 folder and I wanted to stop searching for that folder and only search for waves version 10. What am I missing?

Check your VSTPlugins folder and see if Waveshell_9.x.x.dll is in there. If it is then you may need to uninstall it. Should be Waveshell_10.x.x.dll

Looks like you have fallen foul of the Waves-doesnt-tidy-up-its-old-stuff syndrome.

Try going through your C: drive and eliminiating ALL waves folders & files, then re-install W10 via Waves Central. You will; be surprised how many waves items you find lurking on your hard drive, undetected and deleted by the waves installer!
