Issues with drum triggering from a midi drumkit

Im using BFD3 with a roland TD1k kit.
In Reaper, Protools and Cubase there aren't any issues.
But in Cakewalk it doesn't detect muting(/choking) cymbals at all from the kit (from any cymbals.)
I found out about it when trying to relearn the midi in BFD3.
It just doesn't work.

Anyone know how to make Cakewalk detect the missing midi input?

I wish I had an answer. Having a similar problem triggering BFD2. Just got a new machine and interface. It was working swimmingly on my old clunker machine but now the floor tom pad triggers a snare sound and the hat doesn't trigger right at all. You would think as we progress it would get easier but apparently not the case.

I officially ditched Sonar.
It's doing funky stuff with my midi keyboard as well where it can't receive signal where other software can. Back to protools.

I need to revise my previous post. After a long time on the old machine I forgot that the Key Maps in BFD2 don't quite correspond like they say, that is, I needed to select the TD20 Key map even though my kit is a TD3 (the one labeled for TD3 does not match up). Once I remembered, all is well.

So it's NOT a Cakewalk issue.

Wanted to set the record straight...
