"Sonar Studio" for W8 & W10?

So I'm looking at Cakewalk, and discover a page for 'Sonar Studio.' Eh?
https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR-Home-Studio
WHat the heck, a separate product.... and another: SONAR: https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR

and not for Win 7 like Cakewalk.

I don't know if they have made some changes or maybe I should get out more and keep up with things...... or maybe it's an old page.

Yes, you're looking at an old page.

SONAR Platinum was acquired by BandLab in 2018, and it continues to be developed and fully supported.

It's now called Cakewalk by BandLab (often abbreviated to CbB), but it's built on the SONAR Platinum source code. I should know - I was a SONAR developer for many years, and I continue to maintain it to this day as part of BandLab. It's had several major updates since 2018, with more to come.

It's also FREE now! All you need to do is create a BandLab account to access it.

Thanks very much for that. I was planning on loading Cakewalk, but have not get there yet. I follow the forum a bit.

They should take that page down, but probably don't mind wasting people's time since it is used as a link to Cakewalk.

They have to leave some of the pages up because that's where CbB's on-line "Help" goes (for the most part), and for any of us who've bought other Cakewalk products in the past and need to re-register or download them again. But yes, they should take down any pages that appear to offer a product for sale.

I had Sonar Home Studio 6 (it came with my soundcard), and as a loooongtime Cakewalk user, I used it. Eventually, I upgraded to Sonar Producer and then Sonar Platinum. Now I'm on CbB, and it's better than ever, thanks to the BandLab crew. I held out for over a year before installing it, but it's fully compatible with my older projects from Sonar Home Studio 6, Sonar Producer and Sonar Platinum, plus it gets new features and bug fixes with each update.

Thanks for your work on this! I've recommended it to several people (including a fellow longtime Cakewalk user), and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it -- especially considering the price!
