Bitwig and Push ?

Hello, is anyone using the DrivenByMoss Bitwig extension that brings Push 1 & 2 control to Bitwig?

I'm considering investing in Bitwig because of this but I'm wondering how well does it work and is anything missing compared to Push's Live functionality?

Can you assign the Push encoders to devices and control external synths with MIDI CCs, and do the names of the parameters show up on the Push display?

I could try the demo but maybe someone already has?

Cheers

I have the first Push and it works quite nicely on Bitwig with this script: The Site Of Jürgen Moßgraber - Software - Bitwig Studio Extensions

In some regards it's actually better than Live, minus the seamless integration and automatic mapping of Live devices of course.

Meh, the integration was nowhere near good enough when I tried it. I have since sold the Push as I realised it was a waste of space for me, even with Live.

Is working great here with v3.. actually push 1 with Bitwig is far better than with live. Easier to navigate devices with and on screen controls really help with the poor viewing angle..

I have worked with push2 in both ableton and bitwig quite extensively. It works ok in bitwig but there are a number of things that let it down imo:
P-lock does not work (although presumably it's coming)
It does not follow the selection of tracks on multi output devices
Sub selection in drum racks are not remembered. So if you are editing a device in a drum cell, hit another drum cell and go back to the first, it defaults back to the mixer view. Things like this really slow down navigation.
But the biggest let down is this:
I love the fact that you can deactivate (and take zero CPU) and hide tracks in bitwig. This makes it so easy to try out different tracks and keep them at hand. But... all of your hidden tracks remain visible on the push, they cannot be selected and you cannot navigate over them. I understand this cannot be changed since it is not in the controller API.

It's an amazing accomplishment for a third party script and there are even some features that I would like ableton to have but overall working with push in Ableton is much more fluid.

I love bitwig in many ways but for me Push2 is a big reason a.o. not to switch completely.
