Question Mineral Wool for Broadband Panels

Hi all,

I have a bunch of 4 inch thick mineral wool panels of the 1280 variety (8lb/ft3).

I understand this is ideal bass trapping material. However, I've read it's too dense for higher frequency absorption. But then I've read other sources say it works great across all bands.

Will this material make good broadband wall panels?

Thanks for reading!

In most cases, it's the other way round: the denser wool will be better performer as a broadband wall panel (depth usually 2-4 inches). When trying to trap bass it will work when straddling a corner, but a deeper trap (such as superchunk) will be more effective filled with fluffy, less dense, wool.
