Bass Traps- Does the Frame matter?

This might be a dumb question but I have to ask-

Does the frame matter in a bass trap? Do you need a frame at all?

I ask because I saw this product:

48 in. x 75 in. UltraTouch Denim Insulation Hot Water Heater Blanket-60301-48752 at The Home Depot

and I thought- well, why can't I just buy a couple of those, and throw them in the corner, as is?

Does the foil screw things up?

Or maybe a couple of these in the corner?

Thanks for your input, I am pretty new to acoustic treatment, please be nice.

Frames are not needed and yes you can just place them in the corner. But I believe Ultra touch does not work as well when it is thick like that. I have never worked with Ultra touch but Avare brought it up not so long ago.
