Poly diffusors - larger or multiples Bass Traps

Poly diffusors - larger or multiples

I am building my first round of poly diffusors on the back wall of a small-ish basement, project studio and wondering how (in a general sense, without room measurements & in a fixed space on a wall, etc.) larger sized panels disperse freqs different than multiple, smaller panels.

I know that measurements (after my corner bass traps are in) will help me determine what problem freqs I have and if larger (better low end dispersion?) cyns are more appropriate or not.

But, is there any general rules of thumb regarding size that anyone has experience with?
Thanks so much...

No. John Dykstra has posted extensively on his experience with polys, before and after in his room.
