can I turn this into a trap

I have limited available corners in my room. Below is a pic of a piece of furniture that I will have to remove if I want to do any extensive bass trapping in this corner. I was wondering if I could fill the hollow base of this with 703 to make a bass trap out of it, or will the hard wood exterior surrounding the material rule out any effectiveness? I am of course taking advantage of all of the other available corners per the very useful suggestions of everyone on these forums. This one corner remains a question at the moment.

I'd remove the pieces of glass and stuff the whole darn furniture, top and bottom. Put a finishing layer on the top part
