Manson vs Roxul

So I finally found a local supplier for some acoustic insulation to build some 4in and 2in panels. I can get the Manson AK Board, which is the equivalent of the Knauf 3lb, 2in. The guy on the phone also mentioned the Roxul SL960, which they have in stock today. I really can’t find a ton of info on the Roxul, other than that it’s rigid wool, not fiberglass. It’s a fair bit cheaper, but I’m more than willing to pay for the Manson if it’s better for this purpose. Any thoughts?

You’re right, it is a lot denser. I wonder if the guy meant the SL930? It has 3.5 lb density.

Are there any reasons one would go with fiberglass vs mineral wool?
