Acoustic Panel Material in UK

Hi all,

I'm planning to make some acoustic panels to try out in my lounge, for primarily stereo music listening. My plan was to use 50 mm thick panels on the ceiling and side wall first reflection points, 100 mm on the rear wall (covering the first reflection points there, which are about 1 m behind my head) and try some 100 mm thick panels across the corners to possibly help with lower frequenceis (although I appreciate gains will be limited here).

My question is if anyone could help with what absorbing material that is readily available in the UK would be best to use? The easiest to source is this Rockwool sound insulation slab from Wickes, but I can't find any useful acoustic or density info. for it:

Studiospares on the other hand sell Rockwook RW3 for which they do give some acoustic data:

Does anyone have and thoughts or experiences of these products, or know of a better alternative that I should be looking at?

Oh, and I'm assuming if I buy 50 mm thick slabs there won't be an practical problems with simply placing two back to back to form 100 mm thick panels?

Thanks .

If it helps I've found some more data in the following link, and the Rockwool website confirms that RW3 has a density of 60 kg/m^3. The data doesn't look as good as the OC 703 usually suggested here but it would be more of a know quantity than that other Rockwool product I think.
