About to make Acoustic Panels, is rockwool/fiberglass necessary?

SoI'm just pimping up my home studio I got all the sound gear now I still need to acoustically treat the room, the main point of my room is recording vocals so that's what it has to be suitable for..

Now I already have all the materials for DIY acoustic panels, but I'm kinda sceptical about rockwool/fiberglass because my home studio is also my bedroom and I've read some posts on here about people having breathing problems/itchy eyes/dry throats after installing panels with rockwool/fiberglass..

Now I can't wanna use any other isolation fiber material because rockwool and fiberglass are the only thing available here but since I'm worried about my health I wanna know how much worse would it be to just fill the 3inch deep panels with old towels and **** like that?

Would it work?

Yea I've seen this. I decided to wrap the rockwool in thin plastic wrap
