Cloud Above mix position

I'm currently tracking and mixing in the same room. It's in my rehearsal space which is 15' X 20'with 14' ceilings. I'm not allowed to drill into the ceilings. I've made hanging frames with plumbing pipes and they actually work well. The problems is- there is no way I can put my cloud over my mix position inches below the ceiling. Will the cloud over my mix position still work if I put it about 7 feet over me? There will be another 7' gap between the cloud and the ceiling. Should I not bother?
