Not sure what to do at the moment - I'm having big problems with delay compensation with Pro Tools and would love some advice.

My system: Mac Pro 5,1 12 core. Pro Tools HD 12.5 (using the processors no HDX card). UAD quad pcie card. Apogee symphony and SSL Sigma.

My very frightening problem is that I think as my mixes get bigger (although it maybe something else) I notice there is a delay between different outputs.
A kick drum that is out on 1/2 and 7/8 is delayed.
This delay stops when I inactivate some plugins on the master bus.
It could be a UAD plug or it a FF Pro MB. So it seems to me my system is at it's end but I have no way of knowing where this end is, or whether it's something else like human error, or a bad plugin somewhere.

I'm only touching system usage.
CPU from utilities is 215% which jumps up when I activate a plug. The more plugs I activate the more the delay gets.

I've tested this situation in a fresh new Pro Tools session with a few tracks and it's fine.
I've measured latency AD DA and it's fine
I've tested latency through the Sigma and back and it's fine.

Any help / advice would be awesome!
