ProTools 12 Help

Hello!

Please feel free to send me to the correct forum area if I'm not in the right place....

I have ProTools 12.6.1 on a Macbook Pro. All of a sudden the cursor will not allow me to place it in a specific spot within a track. It will come somewhat close, but not close enough when you're editing! It's as if it's on grid of some kind. The blue arrow stays in place if that's helpful.
I use a track pad, but I also connected an external mouse to see if that was the problem. It wasn't. I've never seen this problem and was hoping someone could help me as I'm starting to get really frustrated.
Thanks in advance!!

Have you by any chance selected grid mode? Top left is where you select SLIP, SPOT, GRID, or SHUFFLE.
There is an Avid Pro Tools section of the forum in the part labeled DAW Talk.

Wizzomixer,
Thanks for your reply. I will make sure I use the DAW forum in the future (or repost there if necessary). I did make sure the grid mode was off. I will double check just in case!

Hi again!
I discovered that the SLIP, SPOT, GRID, SHUFFLE was indeed the problem (even though I thought I had tried it!)! I'm still struggling with what each of those setting means. I don't know what it automatically was on before. If you know, please let me know!
Thanks so much!!
