I was just looking at some recording techniques from Deutsch Gramophone and that video came up:



I was very surprised to see that they used an EMT250 on the mixing session.

( Look at 10:00 for the mixing notes )

Why would they do that ?

Its incredible to have access to such information of one of the greatest and most popular classical recording of all time.

I'd take so much more.

I was actually saying the same thing at Bob Olhsson about the motown techniques and the lack of info available.

At this age and era we should have access to those information....especially for those pioneer name in the music business.

I was also very surprised that they mentionned using 2 mics for the room in this recording and not the full DG mic tree technique.

He doesnt even know what was in there himself.

I think those info are lost forever.
