cut a region with sustain off/0

hi all.
i often need to cut a midi region and have the sustain pedal turn back to 0.
if i do cut it and the sustain is on 127 / on then i have to manually drag it back down for each region.
is there any shortcuts anyone knows of?
thanks!

If my memory serves, there was an option on my old MPC to convert all sustain data to note length. Meaning it would strip out the sustain info and adjust the note length to end where the sustain ended. I don't have an answer, but I always wished there was this sort of function in Logic.

IIRC there’s a Project prefs that you can decide how the end of a region will react to notes and controller data. So, you shouldn’t have any sustaining notes even if you split at a place before the CC64 0 value.

That sounds perfect. Any ideas where it might be?
