Logic 10.4.2 regions copy/cut/move bug

Dear all!

I have experienced the weirdest bug and cannot find any solution/similar posts. Let me try to describe:

Audio and Midi regions, whenever I try to copy/paste, they jump on top of the original region.

Whenever I cut something and remove it, all previous regions move towards the most right one on the track, almost like the magnetic timeline in final cut.

What does work weirdly enough is copying regions to the left, meaning earlier in time, just not forward. This is driving me nuts and completely ruins any workflow.

Help, please! ??

Kind regards,

Daniel

Thank you for your answer steve. However I would not have posted this new thread had I found a similar post after my extensive search. I only found problems that either had to do with the starting marker not being set to 1.1.1.1. or problems with regions being moved by a few samples. Both not applicable to what I experience, hence the new post. Still any help appreciated.
