Good Mic vs Good Interface?

...first off, unless you're recording high track count projects with multi-instrumentation, anyone telling you that one interface is 15X better than another is smokin' some serious sh*t... ...if you are recording vocals primarily, and fewer than 6-8 tracks on a tune, the mic will make a much bigger difference than the interface...I'm all for higher-quality external...
