That's a fascinating article, and I love how the different disciplines (TV, radio, surround) are allowed the time to set up to their desires while all working together to make it happen. I've recorded in RAH once in 2009, but it was the standard rhythm section/percussion/horns/bgvs and a solo singer, so with the exception of audience mics, it was the usual close mic'ed pop thing. RAH did give me the option to hang mics, but it was a one-off and we simply didn't have the time, and we were already at 64 inputs.
