Sony DMX R100 Madi Backup Multitrack

Dear Gearslutz community,

I'm going to to a classical live recording in an old broadcast vehicle which has a Sony DMX R100 console in it. As it's only connected to one working recording system (the old magnetic tape backup system is defect), I would like to setup a second backup system. The console has a DMBK-R109 MADI Board inserted in Slot 4. So I thought it might be possible to build a Madi stream to my RME Madiface. I've already tried to set it up (also by considering the manual of the DMX-R100 Operating Instructions (Part No. 3-868-264-13)), but i didn't achieved to get a working connection between both devices. Has anybody experience with this console's Madi settings?

I'd be greatful for any help!

Cheers,
Christian

No, sorry.
But some MADI interface cards only output audio when both in and output are connected.
Just saying, might be helpful, you never know.

Good luck!

really?

i've had a dmx r-100 with a madi card for years and i'm almost sure i used it just to output madi while recording on location (i still got it here actually, but it gets mostly used as a very large and heavy switch between monitors over at the video studio).

routing (or at least the menues) was somewhat strange imo and i remember it being different for madi than for other cards...
