Current production microphone closest to AKG D12?

Look for a AKG D17, or also branded as Telefunken M411. They use the same capsule as the D12, but no bass resonance chamber attached to the back of it. So it won't sound as ballsy, but with some EQ it could sound similar. They tend to be cheaper, but be sure to find a gooseneck...
