The Virus A is a 12 voice polyphonic virtual analogue synthesizer in desktop format. It was produced from 1997-1999. Each voice offers 2 oscillators and one sub-oscillator. These offer Sine, tri, saw, variable width pulse waveforms and oscillator sync. There's 1 FM Mode: 64 digital FM spectral waveforms. Two independent resonance capable filters have lowpass, hipass, bandpass, band reject, parallel, split & 2 serial filtering modes with up to 36dB/voice (6-poles) and overdrive/saturation. There are two ADSTR envelopes per voice. Through a modulation matrix of 3 sources and 6 destinations patches can be made and stored. There are 22 simultanious effects, such as 4 different chorus effects, a global reverb/delay and a vocoder. There's 256 preset patches in the ROM, and 256 user assignable patches in the RAM memory banks. The synthesizer has 16 part multitimbral MIDI.
